About

North Hills Elementary School provides instructional services to fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. The North Hills professional staff, supported by a strong PTO and Parent Volunteer Program, takes pride in its students’ accomplishments and enthusiasm for learning.

North Hills has always been a leader in the use of technology within the teaching and learning process. As a result of the Central York School District’s Technology Initiative, North Hills teachers and students have the ability to access and utilize multimedia and Internet-based resources to augment the instructional process. Besides the traditional classroom settings, North Hills offers the additional programs to support and enhance the curriculum.

A wide variety of Special Educational Services, a very active Instructional Support Team, Title I Reading and Math programs, Guidance Services, Community Police Partnership & Mentor Program, English as a Second Language, and a seminar program for the gifted are but a few of the additional services available to students throughout the year. Students are encouraged to participate in the many programs and activities available at North Hills. Some of these programs include PAC (Principal’s Advisory Council), YAC (Youth Advisory Committee), Fifth Grade Peer Mediation Program, Fourth and Fifth Grade Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Intramurals after school, Envirothon, Science Fair, Cultural Arts Night, and the Peer Tutoring Program.
