Back to School Night

Back to School Night at North Hills will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2021.  To accommodate family schedules, two sessions will be held to meet your child’s teacher(s).  Session one will be held from 6:30-7:15 PM for families with last names beginning A-L, while session two will be held from 7:15-8:00 PM for families with last names beginning M-Z.

This evening is an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher and become familiar with what the children will be learning throughout the school year.   Each session will begin promptly at 6:30 or 7:15 respectively.  The evening is designed in a presentation style so it is important that you arrive on time for your respective session.  This particular evening is designed as an educational session for parents and is not necessarily intended for students.  We kindly ask adults to attend with us on this evening.

Please see the schedule below for each session:

Session 1 (A-L)  6:30-7:15 PM
6:30-7:15 PM                 Visit your child’s classroom

Session 2 (M-Z) 7:15-8:00 PM
7:15-8:00 PM                 Visit your child’s classroom

Dress Code

As we finish our first full week of school, we would like to take a short opportunity to review the approved School Dress Code expectations as outline in the 4-6 Student Handbook.  We ask that you take a moment to review the information regarding dress code expectations that was sent out on Friday. Specifics regarding the dress code can be found in the NHE Handbook<>, as well as, in last Friday’s communication.  We appreciate your support as we continue our school year together.

Important Announcement About Cafeteria Menu Changes
Like many other companies across the nation, the manufacturers and distributors Central York School District uses to supply our school cafeterias are currently having both supply chain and staffing challenges. As a result, many of our ordered and expected items are unavailable or out-of-stock, causing last-minute changes. This is a widespread problem impacting school districts throughout the area.

We understand the importance of sharing with our families a daily menu so that you can plan for your children, and we are doing our best to provide all menu choices listed daily. However, due to these supplier issues, please know that menu items are subject to change based on availability.

Students with dietary concerns should contact the school nurse for guidance or possibly consider bringing a prepared lunch from home  if the uncertainty of the menu is a significant issue.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these unprecedented times. Please know that we are making every effort to create and provide a consistent and accurate menu for your children each day.

Panther Pantry Date

Device Protection/Insurance Now Available For Purchase Online
The device protection plan is an optional program offered to parents and guardians of Central York School District. The protection plan is there for those unexpected accidents that can happen at any time. It provides peace of mind that the learner's device will be covered for damages should they occur. Please keep in mind that only one insurance claim is allowed per school year for High School devices. All Apple iPad devices have unlimited accidental damage coverage. You will have the opportunity to purchase insurance again each next school year. To visit the Device Protection Plan website, learn more, and purchase insurance, please click here:
