Band

Students in grades 5 and 6 can join the band program at our school! Playing an instrument has many wonderful benefits, and we are pleased to offer instruction on woodwinds (including flute, oboe, clarinet and saxophone) brass (trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone/tuba) and percussion.

Our comprehensive instrumental curriculum features small-group instruction in the first year in the program where the focus is on the basics of tone production and music reading. In following years, students rehearse and perform as a full band, learning the important skills needed to play together.

First and Second year students have the opportunity to share their progress with our community at several performances - full details of rehearsals and concerts will be shared with interested families via registration/information materials at the beginning of each school year.
