HEALTH SCREENING REFERRALS: If your child does not pass a hearing or vision screening, a referral form will be mailed home. Information about eyeglass assistance programs will be included. If you feel your child would benefit from any of these awesome programs, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail! Please be sure to communicate the results of the hearing or vision specialist exam with us here at school. We look forward to working together to help your child receive the support they need!

In addition to treating all illnesses and injuries that occur during the school day, our nurses also work together to provide the following services:

*Conduct state mandated health screenings for every student every year: SB students receive vision & hearing screenings, height and weight are measured and BMI is calculated; NH students receive vision screening, height and weight are measured and BMI is calculated. All results are confidentially sent home with students for parents to review.

*Track and report physical, dental and immunization requirements to the PA Dept. of Health

*Monitor public health and communicable disease concerns

*Administer medically prescribed medications and treatments

*Provide health education to prevent disease and encourage healthy living
